88 Events is committed to providing a work environment that is free from human trafficking and slavery by promoting ethical employment practices and will not knowingly work with Companies that employ or utilise forced labour.
Our Commitment to Anti-Slavery
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. Our Modern slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business.
Training
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business, the Company will provide all employees and businesses with access to our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy Statement.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
It is the policy of 88 Events not to utilise the services of suppliers who have links to modern slavery, child labour and human trafficking.
Due to the nature of work conducted, the risk of engaging the services of any business with links to Modern Slavery is considered as low.
88 Events employees have received training in identifying those at risk of modern slavery, child labour or human trafficking and how to report suspicions.
To ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, 88 Events have and will continue to:
- Communicate this policy to all employees.
- Provide employees with training to increase their awareness of modern slavery, child labour and human trafficking and to ensure regular refresher training is
- Conduct due diligence regarding new employees, ensuring that when setting up payroll the new employee bank account holders name matches the employee
- Where suppliers are found to have links to modern slavery, human trafficking or child labour then 88 Events will terminate the services of that company and report it to the
